    Re: CW vs Kelly

I have lamented that more times than not on here, have been very critical of "Kelly fans",but to single me out as a fairweather fan is absurd. Whether you love me or hate me,you have to know that I am there through thick and thin for those Indians (and they know it,which is so much more important to me than any grief I catch on here). As for UVAW? That is not just on us,but the entire region. I do feel that recruiting more players locally wil help in boosting the attendance numbers. Nobody wants to see a team with no locals on it.

I just thought it was funny that BI made a comment that they could score on anybody and that they had the best line in the region..

Amen. If this was said in every argument, there would be world peace.

I can't speak for B.I. Like I said, Clintwood is doing exactly what they were expected to do.

    Re: CW vs Kelly

Referring to an earlier post about the fans leaving early in the game, we have the worst fan section in football. Period. The parents act like they're afraid of making noise. Now, when we played PV that was an exception. It's that kind of electric atmosphere that helped our boys play hard. Maybe if the fans could off their hands make some noise, our boys would play harder. Fact is, they only put as much into playing as our crowd does into backing them up.

Funny, back when I played it was great to hear the crowd but we did not need the "crowd" to inspire us. The crowd will get you inspired for the kickoff but after that, you better have some talent to back up the talk.
It was fun to knock the hell out of someone and I did not want the guy to knock the hell out of me. Most teams that I have seen played to win and did not need the "crowd" to back them up.
Must play different nowadays but maybe its me.

I never heard the crowd, band, or anything else during a game. Other than when we were coming on the field or at the end of a blowout sitting on the bench.

Same here, but I guess some excuse is better than none.

I mean think about it.......you have the Division 1 runner up team coming to YOUR house.....you line up for the kick........"wait a minute, let me see if the crowd is clapping and inspiring me.....nope......ok...I do not want to play now."
